成人式　/ adult ceremony

As a milestone to become an adult in contemporary Japan, I will perform a ceremony called ‘Adult ceremony’. This method is different depending on the region, but many women wear kimonos and participate in the ceremony.

過去の日本では、男性の成人は15歳、女性の成人は1４歳でした。

現代の日本では、男性・女性どちらも成人は20歳です。

現代の日本には大人になる節目として、「成人式」というセレモニーを行います。これは地域によって方法は違いますが、女性の多くは着物を着てセレモニーに参加します。
